![]() ![]() Without Lars, Jin would have been arrested by some UN soldiers looking for him. In Tekken 7 he rescues, helps recover and gives Jin his mission to take down Kazuya. Tekken was already anime-like prior to 6 but it turned up once 6 dropped especially when you've got Anime Lead Lars and his "girlfriend" Alisa the robot who are the lead characters in the Scenario Campaign compared to former fan favorites. It fits his "rebel army superhero" style. He's got a strong sense of justice, is heroic and fights in a "superhero-ish" way to the point where Harada said that unlike most fighters in Tekken (who's fighting style's based on real life fighting styles and/or references), for Lars they made it up. Given he's Heihachi's kid, he can contend with Mishimas. Former Tekken Force member who revolted against Jin and also created a rebel army to take Jin and the rest of the Mishima bloodline down. Mayne not gameplay but t4 was definitely the best in the series for this really cool robotic dark tone. At its time of release it recieved massive amounts of praise for its visuals because they were groundbreaking. Who the f is this robot and where is my wooden waifu. Became the main character of Tekken 6 who took the title from Jin (who's now the the sub-boss/face boss of T6) who was the main character in 3 and 5. It does look a bit dry compared to VF4, and especially Tekken 4, but its a game from 1996. For Tekken 7 on the PlayStation 4, a GameFAQs message board topic titled Why did people hate. He's Heihachi's illegitimate son who comes out of nowhere. But yes, I would like one continuity where Jin is neither a war criminal nor an adulterer. Though, I guess Jin's master plan could also be a bloodline rebellion. I don't want another sparse-ish Tekken console launch. ![]() Fated Retribution was effectively a two-year-old console port and had the benefits of time release and an extra year in arcades to balance mechanics, and it still felt a little undercooked in terms of content. Kind of why I'm antsy about Tekken 8 potentially forgoing an arcade release entirely. Bringing back all but three - two if you exclude Violet - characters from the last game and salvaging a bunch of veterans who were last seen in Tag 1 and then adding in nearly a half-dozen newcomers. Tekken 5's level of content for a game that could probably only carry forward animations from Tekken 4, Tag 1, and the PS1 trilogy was impressive. I personally think it's a little too restrained at points given the demons and aliens running around in Tekken 2 and 3, but I don't think the most or even third-most overwhelming criticism for the game was the tone. Tekken 4 is the fifth installment in the Tekken series. Of all the complaints about Tekken 4, its story was probably among the lowest on the ladder. ![]()
